Succeed at our events
Use our tips to get the most out of your participation
Meeting people face to face is one of the most effective forms of marketing and relationship building. With a well-considered plan, your participation can strengthen your brand, create new business opportunities and deliver tangible results. Success requires both our efforts as the organiser and your active work before, during and after the event.
Here you will find tips to help you prepare and make the most of all the opportunities our event offers. Set clear goals, use the tools and services we provide, and be proactive in your networking – increasing your chances of leaving the event with both new contacts and new business.
Set goals and plan for success
A successful event participation begins with clear goals and a well-considered plan. Your goals should be realistic, measurable and understood by everyone in the team. Consider what matters most to you – sales, new contacts, brand building or launches – and let this guide your activities. Once your goals are in place, plan how you will achieve them. Think about what you want to communicate, how you will stand out and how you will create engagement. The better prepared you are, the greater the results.
Things to consider:
- Define measurable goals, such as the number of leads, strengthening relationships with existing customers, gaining new contacts, increasing brand awareness or generating sales
- Develop a clear message and plan stand activities
- Ensure that staff are informed and engaged
- Decide how you will follow up before the event takes place
Create activity in your stand that attracts customers
An active stand attracts more visitors and gives you the opportunity to create meaningful conversations. Choose activities that support your goals and give visitors a reason to stay and speak with you. Feel free to promote the activities in advance.
Promote your stand in social media
Social media is a powerful channel for building anticipation and driving visitors to your stand. Start communicating well before the event and be clear about what visitors can experience at your stand.
- Announce that you will be exhibiting and share what will be happening at your stand
- Present activities, offers and new products or services
- Tag the event’s account or link to the website
- Publish photos and videos during the event days
Invite your customers and contacts
We promote the event widely, but you are the most important link to your own customers and network. Inviting them personally increases the likelihood that they will prioritise visiting your stand.
- Personally invite your customers and prospects.
- Invite using your unique link: In the exhibitor portal, you will find your personal Guest link. When your customers or prospects use it, they can register for the event free of charge and also receive a 50% discount on the conference ticket.
- Access your leads: In the exhibitor portal, you will also find the contact details for everyone you scan at your stand using your Lead Scanning tool – perfect for fast, effective follow-up after the event.
Succeed on site
How your stand is staffed has a significant impact on the results. Your staff are the face of your organisation, and visitors will immediately notice their energy and engagement. Make sure everyone working on the stand understands the goal and knows how to engage with visitors.
Don't forget the follow up
The event is not over when the last visitor leaves – that is when the most important work begins. Contacts are time-sensitive, and prompt follow-up increases the chances of turning a conversation into business or a collaboration.
- Review the leads you have collected
- Contact the most important people
- Publish photos and content from your stand through your channels
- Evaluate the results and document lessons learned for next time
